adapted from www.rollinstone.co.za/

as publicist we are forever trying to get that for publicity for our organisations and clients, but in the music industry it can often be very changeling because they are not enough publications that cater for our specific gener for our music artist. the 19 of November 2011 south African welcomes the new rolling stone south Africa's,rolling stone is a publication which was founded by jonn wenner in 1967 at the age of 21
rolling stone is a publication that is writing was and is still aimed at writing for the backstage musicians and always to be the first one to revealing secrets to musician .however the publication is causing alot of debate in south Africa if whether should south Africa allow another American brand that is has expensive in advertisement than having our own publication that is 100% south African and cultural orientated to the views of south Africans
the first issue of rolling stone south Africa is graced by the heaviest rock n roll jazz muso bra huge who holds more cultural weight than any muso in the country. the publication is here to inform ,promote and entertain and this is a good platform for music publicist to air their creative publicity stunt on a publication that is for music lovers now our pitch letters and release will not go to waste.read more on www.rolling stone south Africa.

the media plays an important part in the lives of  many people in south African because most of our perceptions are  based on what we hear, read and watch and on what the world is really like even framing the ones who are in the public eye what they lives are really like or what they believe in so that we can base our lives and opinions on that do or say.

on Sunday the 15th of April an article was published that made social networks to go wild. the article was about the muilt rand recording artist Zahara who is sign under TS records.
accusations were made that the record label was exploiting her and the main culprits are tk nciza and sbu leope that they were using her talent for personal gain while the the journalist named they source as nomade and mbangeda as the sayed that their sister Zahara doesn't have control over her money and is forced to live with nciza and is treated like a servant. and sometimes asks a loan from her mother just to buy airtime and she way quick to resposed to this rumours"papers may write what ever they like, but i know that i have been great kid in my family and ts record too has been good to me " and later went on to a radio interview at  umhlobo wenene fm breakfast show on Tuesday.as she claims that she is not being misused  and tk nciza is treating her very well and concluded by saying that she is taking her time about on buying her things and will buy when she is good and ready.

the question stand if really that our local record labels like TS records are exploiting our local artist or that our own South African media is framing our local in a bad light because the South African music awards are only a few weeks away. maybe giving her  bad publicity so that she doesn't get any vote for the public for song of the year. and please before you can judge or foam your perception about TS records, zahara and the south African media ask yourself this question is south African record labels exploiting our local artist or is that our musician not educated enough to turn music to a business's or is it that our South African media is framing this agenda for us and we just believe everything they report to us for more reading click here.

photo taken at the parltones website
IN the practice of public relations is either you adapt or perish that is the same in the music industry.as many going green projects are under way many public relation practitioner would tell you that in the practice of public relations. green projects are happening all the world so it is time for public relations practitioners to keep up with the times and make public relations a trendy profession and adapt to what is called green pr.

the publicist of the parltones clearly adapted to the environment when the parltones were made the spokesperson for the carbon free programme which is to plant trees in south Africa and since than they have teamed up with the south African broacating corporation (sabc) 3. and part of their public relations plan which is aimed at changing south Africans perceptions and behaviour about saving the environment and going green they have made a music video.  "stars fall down" which shows the parltones in the near future viewing the burnt out earth from a spaceship whilst growing a new plant and this music video has had a big impact on the people unlike other projects this one really did evoke change.

this is really a great public relation programme that even got great publicist for the band this shows that in the practice of public relation and the music industry we should operate in a open system adapt quick to the environment in this case the( music industry) or you will perish for more information go to this link(parltons and carbon free)

jaziel brothers go csi

image is a very important aspect  in the practice of  public relations and communication that is why we public relations practitioner manage people perceptions. so that our clients or organisations image may be conceived as good same as in the music industry .because now the audience have been brought to attention of corporate social investment(csi) activities by music that is why csi is is regarded as the latest publicity tool or weapon that is why radio stations and television stations and record labels have campaigns in the name of csi.
jaziel is a music, media and entertainment record label focused in communicating love and unity through music. it is empowered by blacks and it is fully black owned by the jaziel bothers who emerged as entrepreneurs who understand what one goes through when you are still trying to established a name for your self in the music industry. that is why they are running this csi project which is about developing talent and empowering young people growing in poor communities. and since they start this positive csi project they have achieved huge publicity and and an increase in record sales. that is why is it wise for junior public relations practitioner to use this weapon as a communication and media strategy.for more information go to http://www.jaziel.com/
